CMAK's analysis of CM service procurement data from the Public Procurement Service's KONEPS (Nara Jangteo) system showed that the total value of public construction CM service contracts awarded in Q2 2026 came to KRW 1,590.27 billion. This represents a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year (KRW 1,361.49 billion).

The number of contracts awarded was 548, up 7.2% from the same period last year (511 cases), while the average contract value per case rose to KRW 2.90 billion, an increase of KRW 0.24 billion compared to the same period last year (KRW 2.66 billion).

By month, June accounted for KRW 586.26 billion, or 36.9% of the quarter's total procurement value, up 27.3% from KRW 460.46 billion in the same month last year.

In the building sector, Q2 2026 procurement value reached KRW 785.71 billion, up 33.4% from KRW 589.15 billion the previous year, with the number of contracts rising 22.8% to 264 (from 215). The average value per contract was KRW 2.98 billion, up KRW 0.24 billion from KRW 2.74 billion the previous year.

The civil engineering sector recorded KRW 750.82 billion in procurement value, a 2.2% increase from KRW 734.38 billion the previous year, while the number of contracts fell 5.3% to 267 (from 282). The average value per contract was KRW 2.81 billion, up KRW 0.21 billion from KRW 2.60 billion the previous year.

The other category (landscaping, industrial/environmental facilities) saw procurement value of KRW 53.74 billion, up 41.6% from KRW 37.96 billion the previous year, with the number of contracts increasing 30.8% to 17 (from 13). The average value per contract was KRW 3.16 billion, up KRW 0.24 billion from KRW 2.92 billion the previous year.

Central government agencies awarded KRW 216.51 billion in Q2 2026, up 19.1% from KRW 181.75 billion the previous year, while the number of contracts fell 11.5% to 69 (from 78). The average value per contract was KRW 3.14 billion, up KRW 0.81 billion from KRW 2.33 billion the previous year.

Local governments awarded KRW 858.80 billion, up 24.1% from KRW 692.00 billion the previous year, with contracts increasing 10.7% to 300 (from 271). The average value per contract was KRW 2.86 billion, up KRW 0.31 billion from KRW 2.55 billion the previous year.

Public institutions awarded KRW 514.96 billion, up 5.6% from KRW 487.74 billion the previous year, with contracts increasing 10.5% to 179 (from 162). The average value per contract was KRW 2.88 billion, down KRW 0.13 billion from KRW 3.01 billion the previous year.

Procurement covering the design (pre-design) through construction (post-construction) stages totaled KRW 22.29 billion in Q2 2026, down 61.7% from KRW 58.13 billion the previous year, with the number of contracts falling 78.9% to 4 (from 19). The average value per contract was KRW 5.57 billion, up KRW 2.51 billion from KRW 3.06 billion the previous year.

The construction (post-construction) stage accounted for KRW 1,561.57 billion, up 20.1% from KRW 1,300.12 billion the previous year, with contracts increasing 11.2% to 528 (from 475). The average value per contract was KRW 2.96 billion, up KRW 0.22 billion from KRW 2.74 billion the previous year.

The design (pre-design) stage accounted for KRW 6.41 billion, up 97.8% from KRW 3.24 billion the previous year, while the number of contracts decreased 5.9% to 16 (from 17). The average value per contract was KRW 0.4 billion, up KRW 0.21 billion from KRW 0.19 billion the previous year.
